The Oyaide R-0 receptacle / outlet has a High Quality Beryllium Copper base material, unplated. 20 AMP rating.

The naked receptacle!  No plating, just high quality bare copper.

With the introduction of the R1, the category of wall outlet / receptacles may now be said to have reached the stage of true maturity.

Contacts are made of beryllium copper which had previously proven its superiority in the ultra high performance Oyaide M1/F1.

The importance of high quality power supply connections is now widely accepted. Many enthusiasts install dedicated power lines for their hi-fi and home theater systems and no longer question the importance of the quality of a receptacle fitted to the wall. Conventional "hospital grade" connectors can improve the strength of the mechanical connection, but are far from ideal for realizing the best sound quality.

The Oyaide objective was to develop receptacles whose sole purpose was to deliver the highest sound quality possible. Every part has been designed with this in mind. Extensive research into the effects of plating methods has yielded three equally valid but different types of sound for you to choose from. The entire series is non-magnetic to avoid any disturbance from magnetic fields.

The R-0 inherited the basic exterior design of SWO-ULTIMO series. However, like the respected R-1, and responding to needs of users, it can be used for both 20A and 15A.

30% glass filled PBT is employed for its excellent machining characteristic and electrical isolation. Created under extremely high pressure, the body of the R-0 outlet is highly rigid. Its weight is increased over the previous model and improves damping ability. As a result of improved processing accuracy, the holding power of the blade is improved and unnecessary vibration is attenuated to the maximum extent possible. Moreover, its internal structural layout is that of a highly engineered load distribution.

Base Material:  Highly (twice) polished beryllium copper

Mounting Bracket: 24 Karat plated brass fittings for strength and durability of the Body and Insulator. The 1.5mm thick gold mounting frame has high strength and protects against feedback of unnecessary vibrations from the wall. The housing of the R-0 made with the ultimate in design and materials.

All screws are made of stainless steel. Due to its high rigidity, there is no problem such as a screw head rounded off. The maximum cable size is 5.5sq. inches. Thorough testing, the cable has never separated from the plug by a force less than 30kg.

Chassis is Highly rigid Glass filler, Polybutylene terephthalate for resonance control

To complete the R-0, the the material which was punched out as a part is polished by hand, piece by piece after machine barrel-polishing.

The contact of the R0 is made of beryllium copper, same as the R1 and F1/M1 series using a new and high level of performance. The use of heat treated beryllium copper insures mechanical integrity and high conductivity. It is 1.0mm thick and 6.0mm in wide, reducing vibration at the point of contact with no loss of signal transmission.
